§ 5. Projection of signs.

  • a.

    No sign or any portion thereof shall project or extend over any public sidewalk, street, alley, or other public property. A supporting member of a sign shall be located at least three feet from the property line of the property upon which it is situated.

    b.

    Signs projecting more than 18 inches from the face of the building or supporting structure over private property used or intended to be used by the general public shall have a minimum clearance of eight feet above the pavement of finished grade.

    c.

    No sign shall be attached to a building in such a manner that the sign surface, or any part thereof, exceeds in height the lowest uniform roofline or parapet of such building, whichever is higher.
